Since COVID19 became a serious global health crisis back in early January, the sale of Hand Sanitiser Gels and Wipes sky rocketed to the point that all Australian manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers compeletly sold out.

If you thought running out of toilet paper was a huge issue, your 110% correct, yes it was but for health care workers directly threatened every day along with every other Australian, only a few of us were able to readily buy stock.

Thats where resellers like Brands in Motion who work very closely with over 7 Promotional Distributors have been working hard to fill the void for businesses as well as retail stores who have been unable to source stock. At one point in mid March, there were over 4,500,000 bottles of hand sanitiser gels and wipes on order and thats just within the promotional industry.  Since mid March, i believe the volumes have risen well above 5,000,000 so you'd have to hope that our shortages are getting close to being managed with surplus stocks merely 6-8 weeks away. This is obviously dependant on Australias outbreak continuing to effect less Australians on a week by week basis.

In the short term however, both corporate businesses, Govt departments and retailers have little choice but to continue forward ordering their Hand Sanitiser gels and wipes otherwise little chance to source stock when required. Minimum quantities apply from each supplier between 100 and 250 pcs whether unbranded or customised. Fortunately as manufacturers and importers are finally clawing back high volumes of stock, we're all hopeful that the 'old normal' days aren't too far away.

Brands in Motion are delighted to advise that we have a couple suppliers who have secured Aussie made sanitiser gels with 75% alcohol content but only in bottle sizes of 50 & 125mls.  In relation to imported stocks, between now and end June stocks across sizes 30, 55, 60, 100, 125, 250, 300, 500ml and 1 litre bottles will arrive. The 30, 55, and 60ml personalised bottles are available with or without a convenient carabiner clip. However, available stocks across these sizes is limited as 70% of stock was f/ordered.

Brands in Motion can assist all businesses with either customised branded or generically branded hand sanitiser gels or wipes. Wipes incidentally are generally available in pack sizes of 10, 20, 30 and even 50 wipes with same alcohol content as gels and welcome your new inquiries.

The importance of effectively using Hand Sanitiser gels and wipes cannot be underestimated.

The Centre of Disease Control (CDC) recommend washing hands with soap and water whenever possible because handwashing reduces the amounts of all types of germs and chemicals on hands. But if soap and water are not available, using a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol can help you avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. Many studies have found that sanitizers with an alcohol concentration between 60–95% are more effective at killing germs than those with a lower alcohol concentration or non-alcohol-based hand sanitizers.

Hand sanitizers without 60-95% alcohol may not work equally well for many types of germs; and merely reduce the growth of germs rather than kill them outright.

When using hand sanitizer, its best to apply the product to the palm of one hand and rub the product all over the surfaces of both hands until your hands are dry.

How it works:

Waterless hand sanitizer provides several advantages over hand washing with soap and water. However, they are not effective if organic matter (dirt, food, or other material) is visible on hands.

o    Benefits of waterless hand sanitizer:

o    require less time than hand washing

o    act quickly to kill microorganisms on hands

o    are more accessible than sinks

o    reduce bacterial counts on hands

o    do not promote antimicrobial resistance

o    are less irritating to skin than soap and water

o    some can even improve condition of skin

Thanks for your time and hope we all continue 'working together' to bring this cruel disease to an end in the months ahead.
